What is rhythmic gymnastics?

Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport performed on a carpet using an apparatus such as ball, hoop, clubs, ribbon, or rope. The sport takes roots from dance, gymnastics, and calisthenics. The routines are judged on a point system by a single or panel of judges based on the athlete’s level.

What age can you start rhythmic gymnastics?

Some clubs offer rhythmic gymnastics mommy and toddler classes starting at 1! But the true answer really depends on the child. When a child begins to understand instruction, they can start :). We start offering classes to toddlers 3 or older.

How much is rhythmic gymnastics?

Our most basic program for young beginners begins at $90 a month for once a week classes. The pricing depends on the level of your child and the total hours of training monthly.

Is rhythmic gymnastics safe?

Rhythmic gymnastics is considered a very safe sport. The common injuries can include scratches, blisters, or bumps. By comparison to other sports, the risk for breaking bones or serious injury is statistically very low. Minimize the risk by working with trained professionals in a designated training area.

What level should my child be in?

Your child’s placement is based on the level of their skills, training, and an in-person evaluation that would place her in a group amongst peers of similar skill level.

How many kids are in a class?

It’s important for us to provide a safe training environment and 1 on 1 time with the athletes/coaches. For that reason, we keep our group classes to no larger than 15 athletes.
